McFerran crowned Scottish champion thumbnailNorthern Ireland's Jordan Rochford won the Lightning Rod European Championship in England last week, one of a number of successes for local drivers.

RASHARKIN based Stock Rod racer Niall McFerran is celebrating this week after being crowned the Scottish Open champion following success in Fife.
The talented driver saw off the opposition to claim the coveted title and enhance his growing reputation.
And local fans will get the chance to show him their support when he returns home to compete at Ballymena Raceway this Friday evening.
Meanwhile, it's been confirmed that two previous winners of the Bushwhacker Rally will compete in next week's event.
Derek McGarrity and Connor McCloskey are both set to take part, according to out motorsport correspondent Jason Craig.
