Dalriada bidding for All-Ireland glory thumbnailThe Dalriada volleyball team that will take to the court in Thursday’s game against St. Mary’s from Naas in County Kildare.

DALRIADA'S Senior Girls will once again make their bid for the All-Ireland Volleyball School's title this Thursday.
The girls, ably led by Captain Jill Leslie, have a strong pedigree in the sport, having never lost a match to any other Northern Ireland school in three years of playing League and Cup volleyball.
The Senior Final will  be hosted at Dalriada School for the first time ever, and their opponents, St. Mary's from Naas in County Kildare, will have to travel a considerable distance.
The two schools have met many times in the cross-border final before, having dominated their own domestic leagues, so there is a high degree of respect for one another.
The current Senior team at Dalriada is stacked with talent in every position and when they played at Under 16 level they  won the Intermediate All-Ireland Title last May  against St. Raphael's of Galway.
That particular win marked the school's first All-Ireland win after a gap of five years where they had an inspirational run of form between 2007 and 2011.
Dr Walker, Head Coach at the school, said: "We are particularly proud of these girls and how they have developed into such good athletes.
"Most of the team play at Senior Women's level for their respective clubs at Ballymoney Blaze and Coleriane University.
“If they can produce the magic that they did two years ago we definitely have a shot at the title," added Dr Walker.
