Six-goal thriller at The Showgrounds thumbnailColeraine goalscorer Darren McCauley wheels away in delight after netting his side’s equaliser in Saturday’s thrilling draw at the Coleraine Showgrounds.

IT'S pretty much as you were at the top of the Danske Bank Premiership table this week but only after a six-goal thriller failed to separate the top two teams in a pulsating game at The Showgrounds on Saturday. Visitors Crusaders remain just one point clear of their hosts Coleraine while third-placed Glenavon were the big winners on the day, gaining two points on the teams above them following their victory over Linfield at Windsor Park.
A huge crowd packed into the Showgrounds on a perfect afternoon for football but they were treated to little in the way of action in the opening half hour or so as both teams cancelled each other out.
However, the game burst into life just before the break when Crusaders struck twice in as many minutes to take a 2-0 lead into half-time, the front pairing of Paul Heatley and Gavin Whyte doing all the damage.
