TIR-NA-NOG proved their worth in the B final at Portglenone with a strong final quarter display ensuring they put an end to Dunloy's ambitions.
Two late goals turned the game on its head and while tearing the heart out of Dunloy it certainly was a moment to savour for the Randalstown men.
Dunloy always looked like winning this one and although they led by just a single point at the break, 0-5 to 0-4, they did surge ahead during the third quarter.
Four points up and at this stage the final piece of silverware on offer in the 2017 looked destined for the North Antrim village to proudly take its place beside the Volunteer Cup.
Having just scored one point in the opening 15 minutes of the second half in O'Cahan Park, Tir-Na-nOg looked in a hopeless position but once the goals started to flow so did the Whitehill outfit,
Tir-Na-nOg's ability to take these two chances gave some idea of their make up and when the chances fell to Jack O'Mahoney and Ronan O'Neill all was that went before was forgiven.
