Joe gunning for the Glens thumbnailFormer Institute striker Joe McCready scored his first league goal of the season in Saturday’s hard-earned 2-1 win at Cliftonville

COLERAINE match winner Joe McCready aims to show Glentoran what they are missing when they visit the Showgrounds this weekend.
McCready, who scored the winner in Coleraine's 2-1 victory over Cliftonville at Solitude on Saturday, was close to signing for the east Belfast club in the summer before joining Oran Kearney's high-flying Bannsiders. And while he has had to be patient thanks to the early season form of Eoin Bradley and Jamie McGonigle he is poised to get a run in the team because of the former's long-term injury.
“It's the best decision I've ever made," admitted the former Institute striker this week about his move to the Showgrounds.
“Of course, I'd liked to have got more minutes but I couldn't complain because of the way the team was playing. "But as long as the boys are winning I'm happy, though it's great to get a run of games and to score my first league goal for the club.
“It was a tough week last week but I felt better on Saturday and I can't wait until Saturday," he added.
The Bannsiders go into the game on the back of an 11 match unbeaten run following a hard-earned win at the weekend.
