Rain fails to put dampener on Armoy Road Races weekend thumbnailMichael Dunlop (Bennett's Suzuki) was fastest in superbike qualifying during Armoy road races practice

THE Clerk of the Course at Armoy Road Races has thanked all those who helped make the event a 'great meeting.'
Bill Kennedy's comments came after two days in which local man Michael Dunlop once again dominated on his home track.
Speaking after a weekend in which Dunlop notched a hat-trick of victories, Mr Kennedy said not even the inclement weather could dampen the enthusiasm of road racing fans.
“There is no doubt that this year's event had its challenges - the weather to name one - but I'm very happy that it has been a great meeting," said the Clerk of the Course.
“Bike Week was great and I'm delighted with the support that the club got over this period. This event is a year long undertaking and there is an awful lot of organisation, so on behalf of the club, I'd like to thank the officials, marshals and the many volunteers.
“I would also like to thank all of our sponsors without whom we wouldn't have a meeting," he added.
