Crowds of people competing in the Causeway Coast Triathlon
LAST weekend saw the Causeway Coast Triathlon on the beautiful North Coast in Portrush.
This race has been called "the most picturesque Triathlon in the world" by many of those lucky enough to participate in it.
Race Director, Adam Wilson, said "It's a lot of hard work every year but I am so pleased that the numbers are increasing and that so many first timers get to see the wonderful race course which we have - every discipline is just jaw dropping!
“A record field of nearly 200 athletes took to the cool but not cold waters on Portrush East Strand before 10.00 a.m. on Saturday and the swim course which was scheduled to be 1,500 was slightly longer due to a buoy drifting but it was the same course for everyone."
First out of the water was Dominic McAllister, from Belfast, closely followed both by his brother Paul, and also by Rhodri Jones of the host club.
