McBride inspires camogs to cup glory thumbnailCross and Passion College’s Under 14 camogie captain Enya McShane with the Saint Clare Cup

CROSS and Passion College picked up where it left off last year by winning the Saint Clare Cup for a fourth consecutive season.
Its Under 14 girls won their final with St Louis Ballymena to bring trophy number four of a remarkable 2017 back to Ballycastle.
Coach Clare McLernon spoke of her relief after the decider in which Rhiana McBride scored two goals and notched up five points.
McBride stole the show from her centre forward position and needed just four minutes to register her first point from open play.
However, Cross and Passion were forced to dig deep in the closing stages at Loughguile as their rivals threatened a comeback.
“Everyone expected us to win but we all knew it was going to be a tough game and so it proved," McLernon told Chronicle Sport.
