Group N champion in Escort switch thumbnailMichael Nutt has enjoyed plenty of success in his Honda Civic but feels the time is right to switch cars

CASTLEROCK'S Michael Nutt says it is his intention to make at least one appearance in his new historic-specification Ford Escort MK1 before the end of the year.
A multiple front-wheel-drive Production Class winner in the Northern Ireland Championship, Nutt could follow his father's example and join the RAC Championship.
Nutt took delivery of the Escort - which was built by the engineer of the late Bertie Fisher, runs a two-litre Pinto engine, and has been raced twice - just recently.
“I have been looking out for the right car to come along for a while now," Nutt told Chronicle Sport, "and when I saw this one it was simply too good to pass up.
