Ballycastle dominate league and cup competitions

BALLYCASTLE Presbyterian Bowling Club rounded off their season with a complete grand slam, both in the league and knock-out competitions.
From the early matches they seemed to have the league in their grasp and they were unrelenting, finishing with eight wins from eight starts.
Ramoan Presbyterian Club seemed to be the only opponents that could possibly break the stranglehold, but when their only two losses came against Ballycastle Presbyterian, the fate of the league was sealed. "Every club congratulated the winners before promising to produce a more sustained challenge next season," said a spokesman. "Ramoan Parish, St Patrick's and St Brigid's and Carey clubs completed the league table.
