Dunlop unveils new R6 Yamaha
Thursday, 30 March 2017
BALLYMONEY road racer William Dunlop has this week confirmed that he will ride a new Caffrey liveried R6 Yamaha in both 600cc races at this year's Vauxhall International North West 200. The older of the Dunlop brothers, William is a former winner of the Supersport race at the Triangle circuit back in 2012.
“I just want to get some testing done and get ready for the North West," he said.
“I know I won't be too far away because my bike has got plenty of speed."
The 31-year-old, however, is awaiting confirmation on a superbike for 2017 with just over a month to until the eagerly awaited first international meeting of the season.
Meanwhile, organisers and riders say they are delighted with the success of this year's event which was held in the Causeway bVineyard Complex in Coleraine.
It marked a departure for the high profile event which in recent years enjoyed a launch at the Titanic building in Belfast.
