Mirage is finally sorted, says Jennings thumbnailGarry Jennings (R) pictured alongside Philip Hopkins of Hopkins Motorsport in Sweden.

AFTER some well-documented reliability troubles Garry Jennings reckons the Mitsubishi Mirage R5 is close to being the finished article following a recent test in Sweden with Spencer Sport and Mpart AB.
Jennings got the opportunity to sample the tweaked supermini on a large frozen lake with the 2013 Irish Tarmac Rally champion reportedly pleased with the changes that have been made to improve it.
A series of updates have been applied by engineers to the car's software with this contributing to a more powerful and responsive power plant. Jennings was also impressed with the throttle response.
“The whole car works well as a package and, with the software upgrade, it's now as good as it gets," said Jennings. "It's certainly ready to go as far as I am concerned. The car was remarkable on ice. It inspires you with confidence, even when you're not used to driving on the surface. I really enjoyed it."
