CREWS registered for the Junior 1000 Rally Challenge Ireland will make the first of two planned visits to Shackleton later this week as the 2017 running of the series officially gets underway.
Those taking part in the Junior Turkey Run Rally will drive the same six stages as the main field, with Peter Beaton, Sam Adams and Rory Byrne among the leading entries for the opening round.
Championship co-ordinator Andrew Bushe says the 760-acre site ranks among the best venues teams will visit between now and August next year.
