Coleraine recover to claim the points

ORAN Kearney's side moved quietly above 'noisy neighbours' Ballymena Utd on Saturday thanks to a dogged display in a 3-1 win over Ballinamallard. The Fermanagh visitors came in to the game on the back of six straight losses in all competitions but proved themselves to be doughty opponents.
They even had the temerity to take the lead - and from the foot of a former Bannsider at that - but the home side's greater firepower eventually told as they recovered to claim maximum points.
Shane McGinty, who enjoyed a good spell at the Showgrounds, opened the scoring after just 11 minutes, firing home low through a ruck of players after Ryan McConnell had delivered a great ball in from the right.
It wasn't the start the hosts would have wanted but it was clear the midweek exertions - when they squeezed past Crusaders in the League Cup after extra-time and penalties - had taken their toll.
A quick reply was important and it duly came from the boot of striker Jordan Allan who showed great anticipation to get on the end of a Jamie McGonigle flick to steer the ball past Mallards' keeper James McGrath.
