Derry Ladies bid to lift silverware thumbnailDerry Ladies Captain Louise Glass with the new kit bags and shirts presented by North West Drylining for the forthcoming Ulster Junior final against Antrim.

IT'S down to the county's ladies to lift some silverware in the Ulster championship this year. Derry take on Antrim on Saturday evening at Glenavy in a repeat of last year's Ulster Junior final.
Derry got the first scalp in the 2007 championship and by the smallest of margins with an Alisha Wilkinson injury-time goal.
Derry bowed out to eventual All-Ireland junior champions Kilkenny in the All-Ireland qualifiers while Antrim failed to field at that stage.
Derry, under the new management team of former Glen (Maghera) manager Pearse McCallan and player Mary-Jo Boyle were the only junior side to reach this year's National League Division Three semi-final losing out to eventual winners Cavan.
They have already beaten Antrim this year in the league, but it's always a different story come championship time.
Derry will go into game as favourites on both the back of last year's win and on their performances so far this year. Never before has a Derry team finished top of their league, losing only to Kilkenny and defeating Intermediate side Limerick, who were losing league finalists to Cavan.
