LEADING sports nutritionist Barry Murray, Forme Coaching's Performance Nutritionist, will visit Ballymoney Cycling Club this Tuesday evening.
In a one-time only seminar, he will be giving, free of charge, an insight into what the top sporting professionals use in their diets to perform at the height of their game. Ballymoney Cycling Club is extending an invitation to its friends in sport and cycling, Bann Wheelers, Carn Wheelers, Dunloy CC, Bann Valley, Roe Valley CC and many other sports people and cyclists from all around the local area. This is an opportunity for any endurance athlete, recreational or competitive, to be walked through the areas of nutrition critical to their sporting performances.
Barry specialises in sports and performance related nutrition with the aim to combine research, science and common sense to enhance performance and general health when training and exercising. He works with professional teams like Team SKY, Rapha Condor SHARP and the Swiss based BMC team.
Barry is well positioned to provide proof of his success in the solutions and advice he offers sports people, triathletes and cyclists alike. Professional Premiership football teams like Aston Villa have actively been looking for Barry's help.
Barry says: "Nutrition governs your health and without good health, you cannot train."
He will highlight how the right nutrition will help make significant changes to your fitness by improving areas like training adaptation, fuel efficiency, recovery and body composition.
Barry will be also be accompanied by top Irish professional cyclist and director of Forme Coaching Stephen Gallagher.
Stephen, an FBD Ras winner 2008 and a lifetime honorary member of the Ballymoney club, is very active in working and coaching local cyclists, and in fact his methods have been instrumental in one local rider having over 20 race wins in 12 racing months. This is also an opportunity to get a chat with the man himself and discover some of his secrets.
If you are serious about your training and your sport this is an opportunity you cannot miss.
