All change at Ballycastle

TEAM B turned the Winter League on its head at Ballycastle over the weekend as the bottom team from the opening week went on to score maximum points in week two.
Shaun McCook (38pts), Peter McMullan (36pts), Martin Morgan (36pts), Brendan Black (35pts) and Michael Dallat (30pts) were the top five scorers for Team Ballesteros in week two and they are now up to fourth in the table, just three points behind the leaders, Team Goosen.
Gerard Dowds, playing off 13, covered the last seven holes in level par to win Saturday's 16 hole section one stableford competition with a total of 37 points.
Five handicapper John Higgins jnr racked up five birdies in the space of nine holes to finish with 36 points and second place in Saturday's competition with Dessie Donnelly taking the third prize ahead of Gerry McConville on count-back after both golfers also recorded 36 points.
Michael Campbell, playing off 15, was the section two competition winner on Saturday with a score of 37 points. This score, added to his return of 33 points from week one, puts Michael in joint top spot with Declan McCarry in the race for the Winter League Overall Individual title.
Second place in Saturday's stableford competition went to Aiden Higgins, whose 36 point total included a massive 24 points on the back nine! Martin Morgan also scored 36 points on Saturday and he finished in third place behind Aiden on count-back.
In Sunday's competition, Peter Dowds matched his father's success of the previous day by claiming first place in section one with a score of 38 points.
Playing off 12, Peter picked up 23 points in his excellent one over par back nine and this helped him finish two shots ahead of Gerard Waide in second place with 36 points.
In section two, 17 handicapper Shaun McCook was the winner with 38 points followed by his team B colleague Peter McMullan in second place with 36 points.
Philip Cullen was the winner of last Wednesday's Open stableford competition at Ballycastle.
Phil, playing off 11, had 37 points over the 16 holes and finished just ahead of Gerard Butler on count-back with Andrew Purdy from Ballyclare Golf Club in third place on 36 points.
