Memorable weekend for Dunlop brothers

William Dunlop, (left), seen here helping to launch next month’s McKinstry Skip Hire Ulster Grand Prix, was in fine form at the Walderstown road races at the weekend. William scored two wins while brother Michael secured a hat-trick of wins.
IT was a weekend to remember for the Dunlop family as brothers Michael and William dominated proceedings at the Walderstown road races.
Michael Dunlop secured a hat-trick of wins at the meeting while older brother William enjoyed a brace of wins. Michael won the Open race from Davy Morgan, Adrian Archibald and John Burrows and the Supersport 600 from William, Michael Sweeney and Archibald.
The younger Dunlop brother completed his hat-trick by beating Archibald, William and Morgan in the Grand Final. William Dunlop won the 250cc race, with Michael second and Morgan third and made it a double by winning the 125cc from Paul Robinson and Wayne Kennedy.
John Burrows won the Supertwins event from Adrian McFarland and Andy Farrell.
William Dunlop set a new lap record at 109.66mph in the Grand Final event.
