Trail of destruction thumbnailTrail features built by mountain bikers have been destroyed by Forest Service staff prompting anger from riders and a local councillor.

A COUNCILLOR has accused the Forest Service (FSNI) of treating mountain bikers with contempt after staff dismantled riding trail features in Ballycastle Forest.
Bikers from across Northern Ireland have been enjoying locally made 'unofficial' tracks for 20 years and forest's popularity has led the council to consider seeking official status as a mountain bike venue.
Two weeks ago however, the agency posted pictures on Facebook of trail features its staff had destroyed.
