100 stories from 100 years thumbnailTheresa McDonnell's photo taken in the Route Hospital Ballymoney day after her speedy delivery in the Dalraida Hospital, Ballycastle on 15 Dec 1997.

TO MARK 100 years of the Midwives (Ireland) Act, the Royal College of Midwives will launch a fascinating new book of 100 stories from the past 100 years written by midwives and mothers across Ireland.
This is where the RCM really needs your assistance as they have only received around 35 stories to date. Everyone knows that midwives and mothers have brilliant stories to tell and the RCM would be very grateful if you could take a few minutes to write them down and send them by post or email.
If you would like to contribute to the book, (just like Theresa and Una have) please send your stories and photographs by email to or by post to the RCM, 58 Howard Street, Belfast BT1 6PJ
