St Patrick’s Day festival and heritage event in Ballycastle thumbnailRyan and his daughter enjoy taking part in last year’s St Patrick’s Day celebrations held in Ballycastle.

BUILDING on the fun of last year's celebration here in the town, the Ballycastle Community Development Group are in the last flurry of preparations for the St Patrick's Day community heritage event taking place on Saturday, 17th March 2018.
St Patrick's Day is celebrated all over the world in many ways with many themes. Here in Ballycastle, the theme is heritage. The group are working hard to bring together the whole community in a family day of food, music, song, craft, art, sport and the story of St Patrick.
The Community Development Group have invited youth clubs and the children and young people of sport clubs from the area to take part in a lively town parade and are looking forward to seeing everyone dressed up on the day. The parade will leave Dalriada car park at 12.30p.m. and will finish at Quay Road playing fields where some of the young people will then take part in matches - enjoyable for all to watch.
