Mary’s lap of the map thumbnailInspirational RNLI fundraiser Mary Nolan Hickey pictured in Ballycastle’s Central Wine Bar after arriving in the town on Sunday.

NORTH Antrim runners and businesses gave Mary Nolan Hickey the warmest of welcomes on Sunday during her gruelling challenge to run the coast of Ireland in aid of the RNLI.
Glens Running Club and Ballycastle Runners Club escorted the 65-year-old during her arduous route from Cushendall, where she had been well looked after by the local RNLI team, to Ballycastle.
Mary left Ballycastle yesterday (Monday) with her sights firmly set on Portrush before setting off for Greencastle today.
While in Ballycastle J&J B&B offered free accommodation on Sunday night, with the Central Wine Bar and Marine Hotel laying on food and much-needed sustenance for Mary to continue her onward journey. Sea Haven Therapy in Ballycastle opened their doors to give Mary a free therapeutic seaweed bath to ease her aches and pains - one of the highlights of her trip so far!
It will be May before Mary concludes her coastal run and arrives back where it all began on January 2 in her home town of Arklow.
