Clamp down in the Glens

Thursday, 30 November 2017

POLICE presence is to be stepped up in the Glens area following a 'very productive' drug awareness meeting held in the Parish Hall recently. Speaking in the wake of the meeting, Sergeant Tim McCullough of the Ballycastle Neighbourhood Team, welcomed the community involvement, saying elected representatives and members of various community groups were well represented.
The meeting, which was arranged to address concerns about drugs in the Cushendall area, is thought to have been the first, with more to follow early in the New year.
Sgt McCullough added: "We were pleased to see all the key stakeholders attend the meeting last Wednesday night and engaging so well together. PSNI will continue to work with members of the public, including schools and clubs, to educate our young people on the danger of drugs.
