Slaughtneil prevail over their Antrim opponents thumbnailSlaughtneil proved too strong for Antrim champions Dunloy at Owenbeg

SLAUGHTNEIL hurling manager Michael McShane has praised his players after they overcame the challenge of Antrim champions Dunloy in Sunday's Ulster Club Hurling semi-final at Owenbeg.
A crowd of over 6,000 watched as the defending Ulster champions recovered from a slow start to book their place in the decider against Down champions Ballygalget later this month.
What makes their feat all the more impressive is the fact that a good number of Sunday's starting line-up will be back in action for the club's footballers when they take on Kilcoo in a preliminary round Ulster Club football tie this weekend.
“If they win the football semi-final the guys are expected to be out the weekend after the hurling final again in the football final which will be four weekends in a row," said McShane after the game.
