THE Moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland has described last week's tour of the Route Presbytery as "a very inspiring and successful week."
The Right Reverend Doctor Nobel McNeely saw for himself the work of the Church on the ground, as he encouraged congregations, met ministers, local business people, farmers and visited schools.
On Sunday he spoke from the pulpit of his old church, First Ballymoney, having already visited many churches including Kilraughts, St. James's, Drumreagh, Bushvale, Mosside and Roseyards.
His tour also included visits to Ballymoney and Ballycastle High Schools, the Robinson Hospital and the William Pinkerton Memorial PS, Dervock.
Speaking to The Chronicle about his visit, Dr McNeely said: "It was a very inspiring and successful week, it was very interesting and enjoyable to return and see many people, so many old friends.
