Community’s heartache as ‘the most beautiful woman’ is laid to rest thumbnailSinéad Stewart who was laid to rest on Saturday following a tragic incident at her Whitepark Road home last Tuesday

THE close-knit community of Ballycastle gathered together on Saturday morning to pay their final respects to Sinéad Stewart, the young mother who died as a result of a tragic incident in her Ballycastle home last Tuesday evening.
The death of the mother-of-one, who was expecting her second child, has sent shockwaves through the seaside town.
Despite the emergency services, including the Air Ambulance, attending her Whitepark Road home, Sinéad died at the scene.
A requiem mass took place at St Patrick's and St Brigid's Church in the town on Saturday, followed by internment in the adjoining cemetery.
Sinéad's many friends took to social media in an outpouring of grief, united in the fact that the world was now a poorer place without this "most beautiful, funny, loving and caring" young woman.
