Charity cheer as Aaron is toast of the town! thumbnailAaron Jamieson pictured along with his support team after finishing his beer keg carry in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support

A CANCER charity has benefited to the tune of around 4,500, thanks to a big-hearted Bushmills man who carried a 65kg beer keg on his back for almost five miles in memory of his father.
Three decades after 'Gentle Giant' George Jamieson carried a keg from Lisnagunogue to Ballintoy for a cause close to his heart, personal trainer Aaron Jamieson embarked on a similar mission of mercy from Portrush to Bushmills.
Aaron, 28, was spurred on by his family and friends during the 4.82 mile route on August 26, a distance similar to that which his father completed in 1987, with the help of his close friend Mervyn Simpson.
