Late points hand Eoghan Rua important victory thumbnailBarry McGoldrick gets on the scoresheet for Eoghan Rua during Sunday’s game with Lavey

EOGHAN Rua got back to winning ways with a narrow two point win, 2-10 to 1-11, over Lavey at Pairc Eoghain Rua last Sunday afternoon.
The sides were level on five occasions throughout a very evenly contested game, indeed they were still all square 2-8 to 1-11 with three minutes on the clock but the home side claimed victory with two late points.
Lavey were dealt an early blow when midfielder Kevin O'Neill limped off injured after just two minutes although substitute Thomas Donnelly did well coming in.
Moments after O'Neill left the field Eoghan Rua opened the scoring with a well worked goal, Sean Leo McGoldrick squaring the ball close in for Ruari Mooney to palm to an empty net.
