A BUSHMILLS woman will be heading up a new programme funded by the International Fund for Ireland after they committed over £2.6m in financial assistance for community projects in Northern Ireland.
Project Co-ordinator, Leanne Abernethy, said she was "delighted, excited and looking forward" to working on this programme they've named 'IMPACT' and is looking forward to making a difference to the young people they work with.
The funding, approved at the organisation's recent Board Meeting in County Donegal, includes £1.5m for ten Peace Impact (PIP) projects that will assist marginalised communities to resolve complex issues relating to identity and the conflict.
