Election results change everything- McGuigan thumbnailSinn Féin MLA Philip McGuigan pictured with the Northern leader Michelle O’Neill after he topped the election poll in North Antrim.

NEWLY elected Sinn Féin MLA Philip McGuigan has said that it is clear from the North Antrim results that the momentum for change must be matched by political decisions.
“Firstly I want to thank the 7,600 voters across North Antrim who helped deliver such an historic result. It is clear from the goodwill messages I have received since Friday that this result means an awful lot to an awful lot of people. Topping the poll in supposedly Unionist North Antrim is a clear signal of how powerful and important it is to vote.
“If this election was about Equality, Respect and Integrity then the people have certainly spoken and spoken in huge numbers.
“We need a political system than can deliver for everyone and at the expense of no-one. The issue of equality should frighten nobody. I am looking forward now to working on behalf of all citizens in North Antrim."
