Marvellous Marianne thumbnailMarianne Blaney celebrates winning the Ulster Bank Enterprise Award with Alison Clarke and Terry Robb from Ulster Bank at The Prince’s Trust and TK Maxx & HomeSense Celebrate Success Awards.

BUSHMILLS woman Marianne Blaney's feet still haven't touched the ground after being named winner of Ulster Bank Enterprise Award during a glam ceremony held at Titanic Belfast last week!
Stylish Marianne, who owns the quirky and unique 'Daisy Mae Boutique' in Coleraine, has her love of vintage fashion to thank for a house move, a new business and the fact that she gets to spend her days surrounded by fabulous dresses and vintage style skirts, cardigans, handbags, brooches and shoes....
Down-to-earth Marianne, originally from Derby, made Bushmills her home in 2012 following some tough times, which included dealing with the loss of her best friend and she was eventually diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Although the move to pastures new helped Marianne settle, she faced a challenge in securing work locally, eventually considering self-employment as an option.
This is where the Prince's Trust became vital to Marianne, she contacted the charity and signed up to their Enterprise programme, a four-day intensive programme that helps unemployed young people start up in business.
Marianne went in with hopes to start a plus-size bridal boutique, but her market research would send her down a different path; into vintage fashion.
