Bus service drives people improvements

North Antrim Community Transport has attained the prestigious IiP accreditation.
North Antrim Community Transport has been awarded the Investors in People (IiP) accreditation.
The Ballycastle based bus organisation was one of 17 rural community transport partnerships selected to receive the award.
IiP has long been acknowledged as the most successful framework for business improvement through people.
It helps organisations of every size, sector and location to compete and succeed through improved people performance, giving businesses that all important competitive edge.
North Antrim Community Transport provide accessible individual and group travel services to community groups, older people and people with disabilities on a non-profit making basis.
Nigel Flynn, speaking on behalf of NACT said: "It's been a pleasure working with all of the staff of NACT to achieve this award and it reflects well on the whole organisation, from the drivers, to the volunteers, the office staff and the voluntary board, everyone contributed to this success and the team feels duly proud of themselves."
Raymond McAuley, Head of the Department for Employment and Learning's Management Development Branch presented the IiP awards to each of the Rural Community Transport Partnerships during the celebration event held at Belfast Castle on January 13.
Commenting on the IiP awards Employment Minister Sir Reg Empey said: "I congratulate each Rural Community Transport Partnership on this tremendous achievement and commend the Department for Regional Development and the Community Transport Association for their support and financial contribution in assisting the community transport organisations through the Investors in People process.
